Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have questions? We have answers!
Please see below for detailed answers to some of the most common questions we get.
What exactly does Liquet do?
We are a professional ghostwriting service dedicated to helping entrepreneurs and professionals transform their insights and experiences into a published book. Our skilled team of ghostwriters and publishing specialists manages every step of the process, including planning, writing, editing, cover design, layout, publishing, and distribution.
All it takes is a few hours of your time through Zoom interviews for us to capture your story and craft it into a compelling book. In most cases, we can deliver a finished book within 90 days—or even faster if required!
We also provide a variety of bespoke services for authors and other creatives, including video script writing, course writing and design, publishing and distribution, cover and layout design, editing and sensitivity review, book coaching, and more.
Why are you the best at what you do?
Our track record speaks for itself; we’re the company where many of the top ghostwriting firms outsource their writing. Our founder has written over 100 books and similar works for authors, entrepreneurs, athletes, actors, influencers, artists, politicians, journalists, and more. You name the niche or type of profession, and we’ve probably helped author a book or other publication in the field.
What’s the exact time commitment for writing my book?
We recognize that our clients are typically very busy, so your time is precious. While we do most of the work, we require a certain amount of collaboration. The two most significant time commitments are:
Interviews: The interview process typically takes 4-12 hours, spread out over multiple Zoom meetings. We’ll work around your schedule and operate as efficiently as possible to record your wisdom and voice to make your book perfect.
Manuscript Review: We’ll need you to review the manuscript before publication to ensure its approval.
Beyond these, we will need your approval and are happy to hear your input on cover design, back matter, and interior layout. Our team is adept at making this process as quick, efficient, and as easy as possible.
If you write it, how am I the author?
The term "author" stems from "authority," emphasizing that you are the creator of your book. It’s your story and a testament to your expertise. Our role is simply to transform your insights and knowledge into engaging, polished writing.
Do I own 100% of the rights to my book?
Absolutely! We retain zero ownership rights to any of the works we produce. You own the copyright, and you own and control the exclusive rights to your book and any derivative works. You can market the book as you see fit (although we are always happy to offer book marketing suggestions!)
Who will be the publisher of my book?
We offer flexible publishing options: you can choose to publish through our in-house publishing company, or we can establish a custom publishing entity tailored to your preferred name and branding. Alternatively, you’re welcome to work with a third-party publisher, whether you already have one in mind or plan to find one once your manuscript is complete.
I’m a public figure and/or have a sensitive story. Can you sign an NDA?
Absolutely. We routinely work with public figures, HNWIs, and others for whom privacy and security are paramount. We are happy to sign any traditional NDAs our clients require.
Do you work with anyone?
We are unable to work with everyone who contacts us. We’ll determine if we’re a good fit in our initial consult. Sometimes, prospective clients have needs outside our scope or an unworkable timeline. We may also decline to work with someone if we feel their message is misaligned with our ethos.
Can you make an audiobook version of my book?
We can! And, thanks to AI, we have some exciting options for utilizing your voice for narration. We can have your book professionally narrated, then use AI software to create a voice clone. We then replace the professional narrator’s voice with your cloned voice. Sound crazy? It’s possible — and an increasingly popular way for audiobooks to be produced without requiring the author to make a significant time commitment or invest in recording their narration in a professional studio. Our AI audiobook service is currently in the testing phase; it will be available to all clients in Q1 2025.
